Non-Toxic Cleaners DIY

Here are a few recipes that I grabbed from the back of “Organized Simplicity” by @tshoxenreider (Note: when trying out any new cleaning product make sure to first test out product on a small area before cleaning the entire surface)

All Purpose Cleaner: 1/4 C White Vinegar, 2 T Baking Soda, 1/4 gallon (1 liter) hot water, *optional: a few drops of essential oil (I use thieves!)

-Combine ingredients in a bucket, stir, and let the mixture cool for a few minutes before pouring into a spray bottle

Glass Cleaner: 2 tsp white vinegar, 1/4 gallon (1 liter) water, *optional: a few drops of lemon essential oil (it helps cut through grease)

-Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake. Works best by wiping the surface with rumpled newspaper.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner: 1/4 C baking soda + 1 C white vinegar

-Combine the ingredients and pour into the toilet. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then scrub with a toilet brush and rinse.

(Check out Bonami powder cleanser as well, it works great!)

Jori’s Easy All Purpose Cleaner: Fill 1/2 of your spray bottle with white vinegar and 1/2 with purified water. Then add 10 drops Thieves essential oil. Shake and use. I keep this under my kitchen sink and use before and after food prepping and cooking. (*NOTE: Do Not use on Marble - it will remove the shiny coating)

*Some great essential oils to add into cleaning products are: thieves, lemon, orange, tea tree, + grapefruit
